Overview
CCTV camera deployment across three customer sites. Supply and install network underlay including, cameras, switches, and firewalls. Cable and mount all cameras and provide managed services support for the overall solution.
Peabody needed a new robust, reliable, and secure CCTV solution across three of their existing sites. The cameras needed to be of high quality and should allow the customer easy managed access to multiple video walls and to review camera footage at any point within the last 30 days. In addition to supplying the cameras, Peabody were also looking for a partner to cable, install and fully manage the network underlay.
The Approach
Design
Re-solution designed the network underlay and identified which cameras to procure on a location by location basis.
Install
All network underlay components, including camera cabling and mounting was installed and ready for customer testing.
Testing and Customer Training
Video walls and camera access was tested prior to the solution go live with an operational handover to the Peabody team.
Support
Post go live Re-solution onboarded the customer onto its support platform for automated ticket creation and alerting.
Conclusion
Cisco Meraki was an easy choice given its scalable, secure dashboard and flexibility for additional cloud managed storage for any or all cameras. It’s automated alerts and software upgrade process allowed easer integration into Re-solution support platform allowing customers easy access to raise any issues as part of Re-solutions managed services offering.
The Results
The project was delivered in record time with no scope or budget creep. The solution was installed exactly as designed and continues to run seamlessly with minimal customer intervention.
The reliable nature of the Cisco Meraki dashboard, network design and expert installation has proved invaluable in that there has been no major outages across any of the Peabody sites.
